For 2023 part of the course will change including the start which will now be at Holybourne Cricket Club, ten minutes walk from Race HQ at Eggars School. The race runs through a circuit of undulating countryside and picturesque Hampshire village lanes to finish back at the school as previously. A course map is available by clicking the link above but is subject to slight change after the new course has been offciially meaasured.
Whether you're a regular entrant or this is your first time at this historic event, we look forward to welcoming you in 2023.

Please collect your race pack and number on the day. Nothing will be posted.

Course Information
From the new start at Holybourne Cricket club, ten minutes walk from Race HQ at Eggars School, the race then runs through a circuit of undulating countryside and picturesque Hampshire village lanes to finish back at the school.
Please keep to the left side of the road unless otherwise indicated by the marshals and ONLY CROSS THE ROAD WHEN INDICATED. There will be drink stations at approximately 3 miles, 6 miles and 8 miles. A Lions vehicle will bring up the rear. If you are injured wait at the roadside.
Prizes
All finishers will receive a medal. Trophies and prizes will be presented to the first three runners in each of the following categories:
Overall 1st. 2nd 3rd Male
Overall 1st, 2nd, 3rd Female
Then 1st only for the following:
Senior Male, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70, V75
Senior Female, V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65, V70

Health
It is important that you are fit to run and have not experienced any Covid-19 symptoms in the 14 days leading up to the event.
Parking
As you approach the School site you will be directed by Marshals of the Alton Lions Club to a suitable nearby parking area outside the School grounds
Toilets, Changing and Bag Storage
Toilets will be located in the Finnemore Pavilion in Anstey Park – the main car park – with some toilets at the School. There are some changing areas and showers at the School but you would be best to arrive already changed to run. Bags may be left in the designated area in the School and will be kept under surveillance. Please mark your bag with your running number.

Time limits
A cut off time of 135 minutes is deemed reasonable for completion of this race.
Refunds
No refunds are available however if you know you cannot run and would like to transfer your place to another person, please use the option within your account on the booking site Once completed and submitted, this will automatically be sent to the Race Director. You can only transfer an entry once, we will not be able to accommodate multiple transfers. TRANSFER DEADLINE IS 11:55PM on 9th MAY.
Event Cancellation
If the event should need to be cancelled, you will be offered a deferral to the next event. There will be no refunds.
