The ATW Holdenby House Duathlon is based in the grounds of the 2,000 acre Holdenby Estate.
The 16th Century house in Northamptonshire was a palace to King James I and then a prison to his son King Charles I after his defeat in the Civil War.
Now a family home, the grounds are used for exclusive events and it's gardens are loved by all.
The traffic free 5.4Km run lap follows a scenic trail through the grounds and the surrounding farmland with fantastic views of Holdenby House.
The transition zone lines the majestic driveway leading up to the house and after picking up your bike, you'll head out of the grounds to complete laps of a 19km rolling bike course around fast-riding country roads.
The second run completes, another lap of the 5.4km trail before finishing in front of the country house.
There is a Sprint : 5.4k run - 19k bike - 5.4k run
and a Standard : 10.8k run - 38k bike - 5.4k run
to choose from.
The Standard can also be tackled as a relay, with team members tackling a discipline each.
Car parking is available on site, charged at £3 per car.
We encourage car sharing where possible.
